How we met

We both play soccer, but when my friend asked me to fill his spot on Richael’s tournament team in Santa Cruz (without telling Richael), her first thought was that I was cute, but that I wasn’t going to make the cut. Luckily some friends vouched for me and by the time the tournament rolled around 2 months later, we had packed one car instead of two, and the adventure had begun. Over the 5 years since then we have lived in 3 different states, we have each (at different times) gone through through intensive school programs and changed careers, we have raised a beautiful demon dog, we have bought and remodeled a house, and we have become part of an incredible community in our new home up here in Bellingham WA.
